As you are all aware, we have been gearing up for the opportunity to be involved in a Funding initiative led by Sport England, which will see them match up to £10,000 raised by the club. Having been accepted into the initiative, we now begin the task of meeting that target. 

The impact that COVID-19 has had is profound, many close to us all have been impacted by this. As a club, we have certainly felt the impact. It has, however, given us the opportunity to put some much needed time into reviewing the facilities we have available to us, there is a plan in place for a club house renovation, to give everyone a better environment to enjoy Congleton Rugby. We are aiming to raise £10,000 over the next (timeline) to take the maximum benefit of the scheme. We have had to commit to this number, so if we fall short, none of the funds raised will be matched. 

This, especially in such uncertain times, is a monumentous ask. But as a club, we are more than capable of making this happen. This is going to be an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to come together and support not just our club, but the local community we have been at the heart of for 160 years.
